Nneka Dennie, thesis title, “Black Patriarchy, Black Women, and Black Progress: An Analysis of W.E.B. Du Bois and Anna Julia Cooper”. Nneka is also the recipient of the Sterling A. Brown Prize (outstanding leadership, involvement in campus).

Nykeah Parham thesis title, “Let’s Make a Mulatto, A Guide to Swirling”. Nykeah is also the recipient of the Ernest Brown Africana Arts Prize (outstanding leadership, involvement in campus outstanding senior especially in performing arts affairs and academic achievement).

Ivory Goudy thesis title, “(Re)Evaluating the Thirteenth Amendment’s ‘Duly Convicted’ Clause: A Study of Its Historical Legacy and Contemporary Significance to African American Communities”. Ivory is also the recipient of the Gaius Bolin prize (best essay in Afro-American Studies).
